Well, the crackdown on the Occupy movement has begun. It started almost as far from Wall Street as it could have, in Oakland.
Interestingly, the weapon of choice appears not to have been tear gas -- Oakland PD are throwing flashbangs, appearing to target those carrying video equipment, and those trying to help the injured.

[UPDATE]: The fellow seen on the ground, who was later carried off, is two-tour US Marine veteran Scott Olsen. He took one in the head, and is being treated for a fractured skull and brain swelling.
